MMC scholarship applications are open

The Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls Auxiliary will award up to six $2,000 scholarships to full-time students pursuing or advancing themselves in a medical-related career and up to two $1,000 scholarships to part-time students.

Applicants must be a graduate of Butternut, Chequamegon, Phillips, or Prentice High Schools and must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education or are a long-time resident in the area who are already working in a medical field and wish to advance their career.

In addition to the completed application form, a grade transcript or other report of all the applicant’s post-secondary education, an essay telling why the applicant has chosen a health career, and two letters of recommendation must be received by the July 15 deadline.

The application form and accompanying criteria sheet are available at the front desk of the MMC-Park Falls, from the guidance counselors at the high schools, or at the Auxiliary Thrift Store at 125 N. 2nd Ave. in Park Falls.
