Gottwald not running

Price County Clerk Jean Gottwald is not running for reelection in November. Her term will end on Jan. 6, 2025.

Gottwald filed a noncandidacy notification on April 30. The deadline to file noncandidacy is May 24 in order to not appear on the Nov. 5 election ballot.

The filing deadline to register as a candidate for county clerk is June 3, according to Gottwald. Persons interested in becoming a candidate can find information from the office on the Wisconsin Election Commission website.
