    Law enforcement calls for July 1-7, 2024

    PARK FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT

    The Park Falls Police Department reported public calls from July 1-7, 2024.

    JULY 1• abandoned 911 call determined to be in Iron County.

    JULY 2• 12:25 a.m., commercial complaint.

    • 4:45 p.m., scam complaint.

    JULY 3• 12:01 a.m., civil matter.

    • 3:08 p.m., two road rage complaints regarding the same vehicle tailgating very closely.

    • 5:45 p.m., assisted a motorist with getting their vehicle started.

    • 5:50 p.m., security alarm at the DNR building.

    • 6:05 p.m., assisted the public works department.

    JULY 4• 5:40 p.m., a motorist reported there was a problem with the stoplights at the State Highway 13 and 182 intersection. Public works department was notified.

    • 7:47 p.m., two-vehicle crash with one car backing into another on Second Avenue North near Ninth Street.

    • 10:15 p.m., extra patrol for security and suspicious situation

    • 10:40 p.m., an officer responded to a fire in J’s Automotive parking lot and used his squad extinguisher while contacting the Park Falls Fire Department.

    JULY 5• 12:11 a.m., loud noise complaints regarding two homes on Seventh Avenue South.

    • assisted Price County Sheriff’s Office with an OWI legal blood draw at MMC-Park Falls.

    JULY 6• 12:36 a.m., welfare check-unfounded report.

    • 2:12 a.m., motorist assist.

    • 8:30 a.m., a keep the peace request for a homeowners association meeting.

    • 6:48 p.m., issued a warning for feeding deer on city property.

    • 9:11 p.m., traffic complaint.

    • 4:04 a.m., assisted Price County Sheriff’s Office with locating an individual reported overdue from Solberg Lake. Vehicle located in Park Falls at 6:30 a.m.

    JULY 7• 2 p.m., vehicle lockout assist.

    • 9:22 p.m., ambulance assist.

    • assisted Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on a disturbance call.

    • complaint of an Instagram page with photos of juvenile females from across the state.

    PHILLIPS POLICE DEPARTMENT

    The Phillips Police Department public calls from July 1-7, 2024.

    JULY 1• 8:44 a.m., citizen assist with moving a vehicle preventing landscapers from working at a First Street residence.

    • 8:49 a.m., issued a courtesy warning for a grass cutting ordinance violation at a South Argyle Avenue residence.

    • 10:44 p.m., notified the city public works department of a broken water line in the boiler room of the Phillips Campground restrooms.

    JULY 2• 12:25 a.m., assisted Price County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop and arrest of the woman driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt who was wanted on a warrant from the Department of Corrections.

    • 9:30 a.m., contacted the driver of a vehicle involved in a gas drive off complaint from a South Lake Avenue station. The driver stated she would pay for the gas.

    JULY 3• 8:40 a.m., issued a courtesy warning to remove an abandoned vehicle, tires and other junk behind a South Avon Avenue residence.

    • 8:43 a.m., harassment complaint at a North Lake Avenue business.

    • 11:20 a.m., issued a written warning for no registration to the operator of a 2024 Can-Am UTV traveling east on County Road F.

    • 11:58 a.m., issued a written warning for no registration to the operator of a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado after a traffic stop on County Road F.

    • 12:30 p.m., welfare check request.

    • 2 p.m., three traffic warnings on North Lake Avenue.

    • 2:30 p.m., completed bar compliances checks of two North Lake Avenue establishments.

    • 5:57 p.m., issued a dog-at-large warning to a First Street resident after another resident found the dog on their property.

    • 7:46 p.m., assisted Price County Sheriff’s Office with locating and detaining a man after a complaint from an Elm Drive resident.

    • 10:08 p.m., issued two vehicle equipment correction warnings.

    • 11:07 p.m., traffic warning.

    JULY 4

    • 10:54 a.m., vehicle lockout assist.

    • 11:50 a.m., lost/found property.

    • 8:01 p.m., traffic warning.

    • 10:53 p.m., traffic warning.

    • 11:25 p.m., lost/found property.

    JULY 5

    • 2:50 p.m., notified the city public works department about a water line break at a North Lake Avenue business.

    • 6:05 p.m., business security alarm tripped by mistake.

    • 8:37 p.m., responded to complaints of an intoxicated woman at the Price County Rodeo who was bothering patrons. The woman was barred from the event.

    • 10:40 p.m., observed two bicyclists with broken equipment on County Highway H. The officer placed the bikes in the patrol vehicle and provided a courtesy ride.

    • 10:52 p.m., provided traffic control at the conclusion of the Price County Rodeo.

    JULY 6

    • 2:20 a.m., provided a courtesy ride to an intoxicated man who was attempting to walk to his residence on South Lake Avenue.

    • 7:45 a.m., assisted the Lion’s Club with the Spirit of America 5K run/walk.

    • 2 p.m., warned a woman with a no-contact order after harassment complaints from an assisting living facility.

    • 4:45 p.m., contacted the parent of a 7 year old girl who was unsupervised at the city beach.

    • 5:16 p.m., assisted Price County Jail with an inmate.

    JULY 7

    • 8:20 a.m., assisted Price County Jail with an inmate.

    • 11:50 a.m., issued a citation for operating without a valid license following a traffic stop on Wyoming Street.

    • 12:30 p.m., contacted the driver of a vehicle involved in a gas drive off complaint from a South Lake Avenue station. The driver stated she would pay for the gas.

    • 1 p.m., citizen assist with locating a vehicle identification number.

    • 2:30 p.m., a harassment complaint from a South Argyle Avenue resident.

    • 7:25 p.m., traffic warning.

    • 11:30 p.m., lost animal complaint from a South Argyle Avenue resident. The dog returned home on its own.
