    PARK FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT

    The Park Falls Police Department reported public calls for Sept. 2-8, 2024.

    SEPT. 2• 10:26 a.m., citation issued for no insurance to the driver of a car that struck an employee car at a gas station.

    • car title theft complaint.

    SEPT. 3• 1 a.m., responded to a complaint of two individuals sleeping in an apartment laundry room.

    • 1:25 p.m., responded to a business regarding an individual who was refusing to leave.

    • 4:10 p.m., responded to a property line dispute between neighbors.

    • lost/found property.

    • unattended bike reported near the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources building.

    SEPT. 4• 10:03 a.m., referred a complaint of a horse on State Highway 13 at Old 13 Road to the Price County Sheriff’s Office.

    • 10:36 a.m., assisted the Iron County Sheriff’s Office with contacting an individual regarding an abandoned vehicle.

    • 6:05 p.m., citizen assist.

    • child abuse complaint.

    SEPT. 5• 5 a.m., citizen assist.

    • 6:35 a.m., animal complaint.

    • 4:50 p.m., assist other law enforcement.

    • a senior living facility complained that an employee quit and took the only keys to the resident medication cart. The employee denied taking the keys.

    • issued a dog-at-large citation to the owner.

    • responded to Chequamegon Public School District where a woman who was parked in a bus lane during operational hours reportedly gestured and shouted profanities at school officials when told to move the vehicle.

    SEPT. 6• responded to a juvenile runaway reported at a business. The juvenile was returned home after investigating living conditions.

    • disorderly conduct complaint.

    SEPT. 7• 3:45 p.m., lost/found property.

    • 7:59 p.m., arrested a woman who had two active warrants.

    • cited an ATV operator for doing a wheelie on a roadway.

    • responded to a report of a juvenile runaway.

    • cited two juveniles for numerous ATV violations.

    • assisted Price County Sheriff’s Office with a legal blood draw at MMC-Park Falls.

    SEPT. 8• 5:50 p.m., keep the peace request.

    • 7:52 p.m., responded to a report of an open window at Park Falls Public Library.

    • a theft and possible trespass complaint in Ashland County.

    • returned a runaway juvenile to his residence.

    • after responding to a fifth runaway juvenile complaint, officers located the youth hitchhiking toward Butternut and placed him in temporary physical custody with Price County Health and Human Services.

    • investigating a complaint of alleged sex offender rules violations.

    • assisted Price County Sheriff’s Office with a legal blood draw and vehicle search at MMC-Park Falls.

    • issued a cat-at-large citation to the owner after a complaint that the animal had scratched and bit a child.

    PHILLIPS POLICE DEPARTMENT

    The Phillips Police Department public calls for Sept. 2-8, 2024.

    SEPT. 2• 10:08 a.m., trespassed two individuals from a North Lake Avenue business.

    SEPT. 3• 12:42 a.m., EMS assist.

    • 9 a.m., vehicle lockout assist.

    • 10:05 a.m., assisted Department of Corrections personnel with a search of a probationer’s North Lake Avenue residence. The woman was taken into custody for threatening to injure the agent.

    • 11 a.m., responded to Phillips Public School District to assist with a juvenile student with a behavioral issue. The student was issued two municipal citations for possession of contraband.

    • 11:15 a.m., a report for record of older bullet holes that were discovered on two Forest Avenue residences.

    • 3:21 p.m., EMS assist.

    • 3:30 p.m., issued a 24 hour courtesy junk ordinance violation notice to a Flambeau Avenue residence to remove items piled along the curb.

    • 5:36 p.m., EMS assist.

    SEPT. 4• 9:06 a.m., EMS assist.

    • 1:53 p.m., issued a courtesy grass cutting ordinance violation notice to a County W residence.

    • 3:13 p.m., vehicle lockout assist.

    • 3:35 p.m., issued a citation for failure to wear a seat belt to the driver of a 2001 Ford Ranger that was stopped for loud exhaust on South Argyle Street.

    • 8:58 p.m., mental health crisis call.

    • 11:37 p.m., EMS assist.

    SEPT. 5• 7:25 a.m., contacted the owner of a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado concerning a gas drive off at a South Lake Avenue station

    • 10:57 a.m., mental health crisis call.

    • 3:25 p.m., issued a 24 hour courtesy junk ordinance violation notice to a Flambeau Avenue residence to remove items along the curb.

    • 3:45 p.m., a report of a possibly intoxicated parent who picked up their child at the Phillips Police Department. The officer, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and Price County Sheriff’s Office deputies patrolled the area with no result.

    • 4:14 p.m., investigating an alleged perjury complaint.

    • 7:13 p.m., vehicle lockout assist.

    • 9:42 p.m., EMS assist.

    SEPT. 6• 7:26 a.m., issued a courtesy grass cutting ordinance violation notice to a Flambeau Avenue residence.

    • 9:30 a.m., had a 2012 Chrysler towed to the police impound lot after a complaint that the vehicle had been sitting abandoned for two months on Arcade Street near Forest Avenue.

    • 10:33 a.m., vehicle lockout assist.

    • 1 p.m., EMS assist.

    • 2:10 p.m., landlord/tenant complaint from a resident alleging harassment from the manager.

    • 4:10 p.m., received a report of a backing into vehicle crash involving a 2013 GMC Sierra and a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado with minimal damage on North Lake Avenue.

    • 4:51 p.m., an officer dispatched an injured deer on Phillips Public School District property.

    SEPT. 7• 12:54 a.m., EMS assist.

    • 12:04 p.m., welfare check.

    • 12:10 p.m., while on another call, officers observed and collected large amounts of wiring around two vehicles as evidence of a potential theft.

    • 5:52 p.m., a suspicious activity response to a South Lake Avenue residence resulted in a warning to a motorist to stay off lawns while turning around in alleys.

    • 10:55 p.m., assisted a motorist who had gone into the ditch while attempting to turn into a South Lake Avenue business.

    SEPT. 8• 9:09 p.m., EMS assist.
