    Chance of isolated storms today, tonight, with showers through Wednesday

    The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, putting Price County on the edge of a system that is producing morning and afternoon thunderstorms. The storms, mostly in Minnesota and far west Wisconsin, with Price County on the fringe, could produce hail of up to ping pong ball size, damaging winds, and perhaps a few weak tornadoes.

    There will also be periodic chances for more thunderstorms Saturday and into early next week but the threat for severe weather is low.

    For Price County on Thursday there is a 30% chance of showers before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Expect partly sunny skies with a high near 79 degrees and a breezy south wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

    For Thursday night there is an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 a.m. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall with around 1 and 2 inches possible. There could be patchy fog after 5 a.m. The low will be around 59 degrees with a south wind of 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

    On Friday expect patchy fog before 9 a.m. with mostly cloudy skies through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 77 degrees and a calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning, with gusts as high as 15 mph. For Friday night it should be mostly clear, with a low around 52 degrees and a calm wind.

    There is a 20% chance of showers on Saturday after 1 p.m. it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 78 degrees and a calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. On Saturday night there is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low around 51 degrees and a south wind of around 5 mph becoming northwest after midnight.

    On Sunday there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high near 64 degrees and a north wind around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. On Sunday night there is a chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m., with a low around 44 degrees and a north wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

    On Monday there is a slight chance of showers with a high near 64 degrees and a north wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. On Monday night there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of showers, with a low around 46 degrees and a northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

    On Tuesday there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 64 degrees and an east wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. On Tuesday night there is a slight chance of showers, with a low around 46, and a northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

    On Wednesday there is a chance of showers, with a high near 64 degrees and a calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the morning.
