The Butternut Middle School girls basketball team hosted Mercer for an 8th grade game on Oct. 1.

The girls missed some bunnies early, but got things rolling and started hitting shots from inside and out enroute to a 50-12 win, said Middle School Girls Basketball Coach Troy Scherwinski. It was a balanced scoring attack with Bailey Pritzl leading the way with 16 points, and some nice passing.

Khloe Radlinger really attacked offensively, finishing drives and hitting some outside shots for 14 points, he added. Brooklynn Treml showed some great defensive skills and also added 10 points. Natalee Luelloff dominated on the boards and added 4 points. Meliah Hamann with 4 and Grace Kuhn had 2.

Butternut improves to 6-3 and will host Lac Courte Oreilles on Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m.
