    Hot weekend, heavy rain, storms possible

    A hazardous weather outlook for portions of northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin was issued through the weekend by the National Weather Service in Duluth on July 11. An active weather pattern this weekend and possibly into early next week will bring hot, muggy weather and threats of heavy rain and more severe weather.

    The potential for isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms from late Saturday into Saturday night, and again on Sunday and possibly Monday prompted the alert. Localized heavy rain with the thunderstorms could also lead to flooding.

    For Price County on Thursday, July 11, there is a chance of sprinkles after 1 pm., with a high near 83 degrees. There will be a calm northeast wind around 5 mph. It will be mostly clear overnight with a low around 58 degrees.

    Friday should be sunny, with a high near 83 degrees and a calm southwest wind around 5 mph. It will be mostly clear overnight with a low around 61 degrees and a southwest wind of around 5 mph.

    On Saturday there is a 30% chance of precipitation with showers early, followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. The high should be near 84 degrees with a light south wind, increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning with gusts up to 15 mph.

    There is a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday night with a low around 64 degrees. There will be a southwest wind of around 5 mph.

    On Sunday there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high near 85 degrees, and a calm west wind around 5 mph. On Sunday night there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m., with a low around 61 degrees and a northwest wind around 5 mph.

    There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Monday, with a high near 84 degrees, and a calm west wind around 5 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday night, mainly before 1 a.m., with a low around 59 degrees and a west wind around 5 mph.

    Tuesday should be sunny, with a high near 77 degrees and a northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph, and gusts up to 15 mph. The low will be around 52 degrees on Tuesday night with a northwest wind of around 5 mph.

    It will be mostly sunny on Wednesday, with a high near 71 degrees and a calm north wind of around 5 mph in the morning with gusts up to 15 mph.
