The building by the historical marker was the Ticket office and Hotel back in the 50/60's and now has an automated ticket purchasing area and museum

The walking bridge is to get to the other side of tracks to the B&O RR Roundhouse and Shops that made, repaired and replaced train parts until the early 90's and is now being refurbished as a museum and multi-use facility. The walking bridge is to cross from passenger embark/disembark side to the Roundhouse.
