PRIMGHAR, Iowa (KCAU) — The 100th anniversary of the O’Brien County Fair still has a couple of days of fun left for people to enjoy.

There’s plenty of fun activities for the family to do up in Primghar, from the petting zoo, to the beef judging, to bubble shows, along with the Bill Riley Talent Search. KCAU 9 spoke with a member of the fair board about seeing the fair grow while keeping past fairgoers coming back.

“We got some young men in town here that have started businesses that started in 4-H, and I think they came back here because we showed them that they were appreciated and can stay here and raise their families and make everything work,” board member Darwin Gaudian said. “So that’s kind of why we do stuff.”

Some of Monday night’s activities included a ceremonial flag burning, as well as the Bill Riley Talent Search competition.
