Front Royal Cardinals Set for “Catholic Night” Showdown with Woodstock River Bandits on July 19th. The highly anticipated matchup between the Front Royal Cardinals and the Woodstock River Bandits is happening tonight at Bing Crosby Stadium, with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. This evening marks the first of two special “Catholic Nights,” sponsored by the Front Royal Catholic community. The second event is slated for Friday, July 19th. These events are backed by the Knights of Columbus, Christendom College, and the Lloyd Law Group.

Sanborn Man Injured in Grain Bin
Sanborn, IA (KICD) — A 71-year-old Sanborn man suffered serious injuries in a grain bin accident earlier this month. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Department released new information Thursday, saying that emergency personnel received a 9-1-1 call to an unknown emergency at 3317 Pierce Avenue, three miles West of town. It was determined that Bryon Storm had been caught in an auger but had freed himself before rescuers arrived. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Sheldon and airlifted to Sanford in Sioux Falls.

Council Learns More About Community Liaison
–The Algona City Council heard a presentation from Community Liaison Marissa Miller during a work session held Monday afternoon. The position is being implemented at Law Enforcement offices across the state as a way to provide more time-focused assistance to the public, while also allowing Police and Sheriff’s Officers to get back to other case work more quickly. BROOKINGS, S.D. – South Dakota’s team tied for second place for the sweepstakes award at the 2024 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships. Thirty-five youth representing South Dakota State University Extension 4-H competed at the national championships from June 24-28 in Grand Island, Nebraska. The annual competition drew 708 youth from 40 states to demonstrate their abilities in archery and shooting across multiple disciplines.
