The Latina quinceañera tradition is more alive than ever — but it's not your abuela's celebration
MIAMI — Angelica Garcia celebrated her sixth birthday with a Cinderella-themed party. For her all-important 15th birthday, the Cuban American teen is amping up the fairy tale theme, celebrating her quinceañera with a powder-blue ballgown and an elaborate photo shoot complete with a horse and carriage — while swapping the more formal ballroom waltzes for a “crazy hour” and reggaeton.
Former Lotto Pick Opens Up About NBA Future, Signing With Heat
As the embers of a hot summer cool off, former sixth overall pick Danilo Gallinari remains unsigned. At 36 years old and far removed from his prime, many are thinking the Italian forward will return to his home country to continue his career. Not only does Gallinari have experience with Olimpia Milano, the premier team in Italy, players at this stage in their careers often begin to look for opportunities abroad. For example, 36-year-old Patrick Beverley eschewed NBA offers to sign with Hapoel Tel Aviv. The primary impetus for his move was the chance to have an expanded scoring role.

ACC Preview #8 – Miami: Roster Changes and Key Additions
Miami's basketball team faces a pivotal season after a disappointing 15-17 record last year, marked by a 10-game losing streak. The addition of talented transfers and a strong freshman class, featuring 5-star recruit Jalil Bethea, illustrates the team's potential, but the question remains whether they can return to prominence in the ACC. Key stats show Jaime Jaquez Jr. may be on his way to Heat stardom
When the Miami Heat selected Jaime Jaquez Jr. 18th overall in the 2024 draft, there was a general feeling that the team went with a safe bet. Jaquez played for four years in college, and a player with that much experience under his belt is typically seen more as a finished product, rather than a future star. Scouting reports, like this one from NBA.com, projected him as a role player.
