Woman Charged With Stealing Lost Property
A Hopkinsville woman was charged with stealing lost property at the Wal-Mart on Clinic Drive on June 27. According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, 33-year-old Leandra Green took a wallet and Samsung phone that was reported lost inside the store. Police said she discarded the phone in a trashcan where it was recovered by store staff.
Juvenile Charged Following Pursuit in Stolen Vehicle
A 16-year-old Hopkinsville juvenile was charged after she and several passengers were found in a stolen vehicle early Tuesday. Officer Andrew Patino said one of the city’s FLOCK cameras located a stolen vehicle in the area of East First Street. The driver fled on Walnut Street when Patino attempted to stop the vehicle. While on Fort Campbell Boulevard, the vehicle crashed when she turned into the McDonald’s parking lot.

BURKESVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - Bands across the state are gearing up for a big opportunity to open up for The Marshall Tucker Band. The annual River Festivus in Burkesville will feature a Battle of the Bands, where multiple musical acts will perform on day one of the festival. The grand prize will be $2,000 and the opening spot for The Marshall Tucker Band the following night.
Parents jailed after child makes 911 call
CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - Two parents are in jail after their child reportedly called the police, thinking the mother was dead. On June 28, police say the girl called, saying that she could not wake her mother up. When police arrived at the home, the girl and her mother Danielle Asher, came to the door.
