Calvert City, KY (July 29, 2024) – On July 25, 2024 the Calvert City Police Department responded to Alaska Street on a call to assist EMS with a medical emergency. On scene, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found. Gage Eugene Burton, 29, of Calvert City, was cited to court for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mingo man charged with vehicular homicide after DUI crash in Pikeville
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Mingo County man faces charges of vehicular homicide and assault, following a DUI crash Friday afternoon. Police say Chad Blackburn, 36, of Red Jacket, showed signs of impairment following the crash, which occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. on U.S. 119, near the intersection with U.S. 23 in Pikeville. After failing a field sobriety test, he was immediately arrested for DUI.
