A Princeton man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Elk River on Saturday, May 11.

The single-vehicle accident caused non-life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., Paul Bloomstrand was traveling southbound on Highway 169 near mile marker 163 in Elk River on a 2008 Harley Davidson FLHT motorcycle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

At that time, the motorcycle made contact with the median cable barrier in the road, causing the crash, the State Patrol reported.

Bloomstrand sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to North Memorial for treatment, according to the State Patrol. No other vehicles or passengers were involved.

According to the State Patrol, Bloomstrand was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Road conditions were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, Elk River Police Department, and the Elk River Fire Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
