DNR officer report June 13

District 10 - Mille Lacs area

- CO Victoria Griffith (Isle) assisted on a work detail outside of her station area for a portion of the week. Angling, and ATVing activity was monitored. Time was spent doing follow up on several cases. Griffith received several ATV complaints over the weekend. A reminder to have DOT helmets for anyone under 18, and to operate in a safe manner.

- CO Dan Starr (Onamia) worked an equipment exchange project and made work plans. Road killed animal permits were issued and nuisance bear concerns were handled. A possible wetland violation was investigated.

District 12 - Princeton area

- CO Ryan Hanna (Milaca) patrolled area lakes for late night activities. CO Hanna stopped a boat for operating after sunset without proper lighting equipment. CO Hanna then investigated the driver operating a motorboat under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested for DWI.
