PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) – One Princeton business is attempting to be part of the change in Mercer County.

Odd laws that are still around in West Virginia

Tucker’s Tavern employees held their ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 21, 2024 to let people to see the changes made to the tavern before they open it.

Tavern owner Stephen Rahall told 59News how he plans to make this a safe place for everyone.

“During the day, [everything is] going to be for the kids. That’s the whole reason we went with the [new dog] logo – to make it more family oriented. So, during the week, it’s more of a restaurant. It’s a restaurant throughout the night too, but it’s just something to make it a little bit safer so that people will want to bring their family in,” said Rahall.

The Tavern’s official grand opening will be on Saturday, June 22 at 3 p.m..

They are also offering virtual golf, pool tables, cornhole, plenty of TVs for entertainment, and many other fun events.

The Tavern will be open weekdays from 3 p.m. until 12 a.m. It will also open at the same time on weekends but will close at 2 a.m.

Having fun and beating the heat during the summer

Tucker’s Tavern was formerly Sonny’s Billiards & Bistro.
