Man beats woman after she refused to buy him wine

PRINCETON, WV (LOOPTRESS) – A woman refused to buy a man wine, which resulted in her getting beat and pushed off porched.

On June 29, 2024, Deputy Pinter and Deputy A.M. Presley were dispatched to Daniely St. in the Princeton area of Mercer County, West Virginia , in response to a complaint about an unwanted guest.

Upon our arrival at the residence, one deputy could hear what sounded like a male and a female engaged in a verbal dispute.

A man named Allen Anderson answered the door, while the woman was identified as the victim. One deputy instructed the victim to step outside to separate the two individuals.

After speaking with the victim, she informed me of a verbal and physical altercation that had taken place between them.

The victim provided a written statement detailing the events that had occurred, including instances of physical violence. She stated it started because Anderson asked her to go to the store to buy more wine, and she said no.

She went on to say. “He then got angry and started beating me, and after I left the house to give space and returned, he poked me with a long walking stick to push me off the porch and out of the house. He slapped me also as he wrestled me to the floor.”

Upon examining the victim, deputies observed an injury on her left temple and a mark on her right arm. Anderson denied any physical altercation when questioned, claiming it was solely a verbal dispute.

Despite his denial, based on the victim’s statement and visible injuries, Anderson was charged with crimes of Domestic Battery and Domestic Assault and subsequently taken into custody.
