    United Way Day is underway at Princeton Community Hospital

    PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the community have been invited to participate in United Way Day at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital .

    The event kicked off at 11:00am on Thursday, July 24, 2024, and will continue until 3:00pm in the parking lot area of the facility between the main entrance and the entrance to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital.

    The event will raise funds in support of the Mercer County Dancing with the Stars team of Karen and Martin. Karen Bowling is the CEO and President of Princeton Community Hospital, while Martin Staunton is a local anchor and producer. The team will be participating in United Way’s Dancing with the Stars event, the largest fundraiser for United Way of Southern West Virginia.

    Featured as part of United Way Day will be local food truck vendors including Touch of Cajun, Bratz BBQ, The Lemonade Lady, Frank’s Dogs, Chick-fil-A, and Snow Patrol Luxury Ice. Vendors will be donating a portion of revenue generated from sales at the event.

    Also featured as part of the event will be a dunk tank in which Princeton Community Hospital managers, along with CEO and President, Karen Bowling, will run the risk of being dunked for a good cause. Guests in attendance may purchase three drunk tank throws for $5 or can purchase a $50 Dunk Tank Easy Button to secure an automatic dunk.

    It has also been confirmed that additional United Way Day events have been planned for the Princeton Community Hospital Bluefield campus and Behavior Health Pavilion next month.
