    City of Princeton welcomes new fire chief

    PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) — The city of Princeton welcomed a new fire chief on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

    New PCH cafe is for patients, employees, and the community

    Chief Charlie Croy has been promoted to the position of fire chief.

    He said this position is something he has worked very hard to prepare himself for.

    Chief Croy said that though the position of chief has always been a goal, now that he has it his goal is more focused.

    “I just wanna continue with the quality of service that the people of Princeton have grown to know and love from the Princeton Fire Department and I just wanna make sure that the people that I serve are safe,” said Chief Croy.

    Chief Croy credited the training he has gone through during his career in the fire department for the confidence he feels in his new role.

    He said he will continue to learn and grow in order to serve his city to the best of his ability.
