Home for Life is a sanctuary for animals in need, especially those overlooked for adoption due to special care requirements, they are based in Stillwater, MN, they were contacted by Minneapolis Animal Control about a cat that desperately needed some help.

(KNSI) – Time at the lake, grilling, and fireworks are staples of Independence Day here in Minnesota. The federal holiday also comes with disruptions. The United States Postal Service will not be making deliveries. All federal departments and courts, as well as state government services, are closed. Area cities have already alerted people that municipal offices will also take the day off. That includes garbage pick up and the St. Cloud Compost Site, which will reopen Friday at its normal time of 1:00 p.m. Counties will be similarly affected.
