Fire Consumes Car On Park Avenue In Lindenhurst

LINDENHURST, N.Y. - A car erupted into flames on Park Avenue in Lindenhurst late Tuesday night.

The Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to Park Avenue near East Hoffman Avenue after a car burst into flames at around 10:25PM. Suffolk County Police officers who arrived first on scene reported an active vehicle fire on the residential street.

When fire crews arrived, they were met with flames consuming most of the Toyota sedan. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

There were no reported injuries. All occupants of the vehicle managed to escape before the flames intensified and spread throughout the car.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
