Boat Fire Erupts at Marine Services Boat Yard in Copiague

COPIAGUE, NEW YORK - Firefighters battled a boat fire inside a boat yard adjacent to Jensen Marine Services on Montauk Highway late Wednesday night.

At around 10:00 PM, the Copiague Fire Department received reports of a fire in a boat storage yard located at 1234 Montauk Highway in Copiague.

Upon arrival, first responders encountered a small fire that had ignited at the rear of a boat and was quickly spreading.

Firefighters from the Copiague Fire Department acted swiftly, deploying their equipment to extinguish the blaze before it could spread to other boats stored nearby.

The business was closed at the time of the fire, and no injuries have been reported.

The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
