CDC reports two cases of West Nile virus in Arkansas this year
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The U.S. Center for Disease Prevention Control (CDC) confirmed that Arkansas has had two reported cases of the West Nile virus in 2024. The West Nile virus is a mosquito-borne disease that can be potentially serious. Symptoms can include fever, headache, body aches, vomiting, diarrhea, or rash, however, 8 in 10 people do not develop them.
