Ansonia Man Found Guilty Of Grooming Teenager Over Instagram
ANSONIA – An Ansonia man was found guilty on Tuesday (July 23) of using Instagram to “groom” a minor into having a sexual relationship with him in 2019. Christian Harris, now 33, was arrested in 2020 after police investigators found evidence that he had begun a sexual relationship with a victim who was 15 at the time. According to an arrest warrant, the victim’s therapist brought the matter to police attention after the victim told her about the relationship.
Hartford profit up 35% in second quarter
Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $733 million, up 35% from the year-earlier period. “These results reflect the effectiveness of our strategy and ongoing investments,” Chairman and CEO Christopher Swift said during an earnings call Friday. “We remain focused on disciplined underwriting and pricing execution, expanding product and distribution breadth, developing exceptional talent and delivering a superior customer experience.”

We are now one month away from our first day of the new school year! Students entering Kindergarten, Grade 6 and Grade 9 will begin with a half-day transition day on Monday, August 26. This will allow students to tour their buildings, meet their new teachers, learn the expectations for the year ahead, and take part in team building games with their classmates.
