Case dismissed vs. Ellis Tech administrator who brought gun to school. What about his job?
Rolando Navarro, the Ellis Tech assistant principal who allegedly brought a gun to the school in June 2021 had his felony charges dismissed in Danielson Superior Court on July 11. His job status remains unresolved. The case dismissal came following Navarro’s successful completion of a rehabilitation program. Swift House Task Force questions future role
KENT—Members of the Swift House Task force sought clarification of their charge Wednesday night during the regular Board of Selectmen’s meeting. Selectman Glenn Sanchez, who also serves on the Task Force, noted that on July 1 the selectmen authorized seeking a $500,000 STEAP grant to convert the 18th-century building for use by the Social Services department and the Food Pantry. The state has yet to open the application process, which may take place in September.
