Artists reception, painting demonstration set for Aug. 10
KENT—There will be an art reception for Sandra Cointreau, who is currently exhibiting her work at the Kent Memorial Library, Saturday, Aug. 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. During the reception she will give a painting demonstration, discussing the value of learning to paint various techniques through the traditional practice of copying masters.
Cornhole Tournament planned for Aug. 16
KENT—A Cornhole Tournament is planned for Friday, Aug. 16, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. during the Kent Farmers Market. The rain date will be Aug. 23. Amateurs are welcome to join in this friendly competition. Winners will be announced, and prizes will be awarded.
