A Century of History Eradicated: Texas Megachurch Destroyed in Fire
The red brick walls of First Baptist Dallas Church's historic sanctuary are soot-singed and intact, but only devastation and ashes are found within. At 6:05 pm, the Dallas Fire-Rescue received a call for 1717 San Jacinto street in the heart of downtown Dallas. A second alarm was requested at 6:20 pm. The fire was contained until 7:35 pm when the roof partially collapsed and a third alarm was called. Finally, a fourth alarm was called at 8:14 pm, according to CBS5 News.
Wichita Falls Fire Department pays tribute to fallen firefighters
The Wichita Falls Fire Department held its 40th anniversary memorial service Friday at the Wichita Falls Public Safety Training Center to honor the department's fallen. The Fencing Is Down, and It’s Time for Fun at Lakeside Park
Improvements are complete, the fencing is down, and Lakeside Park has officially reopened to the public for the first time in two years. The park has been closed to picnics, fishing, and other fun since July 2022, first due to reconstruction of Lakeside Drive, then for renovations to the park itself. Park improvements include tree replacements, better grading and drainage, new wayfinding and wildlife signage, the addition of ADA ramps and sidewalk connections, and enhancements to seating areas, lighting, and landscaping.

MURPHY, Texas — A missing teen from Murphy was found safely, police said Monday morning. The teen had been last seen around 2:45 p.m. Sunday. Police reported that he was found safe Monday morning. WFAA has removed the teen's name from this story, as he is still a juvenile.
