The Beckley Arts Festival kicked off for its 6th year
BECKLEY, WV (WOAY)- This four-day event started with a basket-making session at the Raleigh County playhouse. The event brings all art forms together for a fun-filled weekend. “On Friday, you can do a lot of theater-centric workshops at the Raleigh Playhouse and Theater. These are all free to the public. I think it’s really good for people that are interested in getting into theater or that already are in theater,” Saja Montegue, Bex Arts Festival President. “And then Saturday is our big unfair event. That’s an annual one that’s really fun. It’s all about interactive buying art, live music, food, chat, dance and there’s a bouncy house. It’s just like a big, huge, fun party on the street. Then Sunday is our youth museum day, so you can go spend your entire day at the museum and see even more theater events and get a peek at their planetarium display as well.”
