Local dining offered at special prices during Lexington Restaurant Week
Connie Jo Miller founded the event in 2013 as a way to support and sustain Lexington’s restaurants – and introduce them to a wider, local audience. “So many good locally owned restaurants are a huge tourism draw,” said Miller. “People don’t want to come to Lexington and eat at an Applebee’s, you know?”
Portland Dairy Queen may close soon as land goes up for sale
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Dairy Queen in Portland may not be there much longer. A "for sale" sign went up earlier this month on the edge of the property. The property agent told WDRB the owner of the Dairy Queen doesn't plan on renewing its' lease and it's up at the end of this month.

Three Charged In Cadiz Drug Investigation
A month long drug investigation led to a man and two women being charged with trafficking and possession of drugs in Cadiz Thursday afternoon. Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says the investigation led to a search warrant of a home on West End Street and 2 ounces of marijuana, guns, several different types of prescription medication, and 2 1/2 ounces of meth were found.

Appalachian Service Project dedicates new homes for Mayfield tornado survivors
MAYFIELD, Ky. — The Appalachian Service Project held an event Thursday to commemorate its recovery efforts in the Mayfield community from the December 2021 tornado, dedicating 12 homes to victims displaced by the disaster. Authorities identify woman hit and killed by train in Louisville's Clifton neighborhood
