    These deals are hot. Providence Restaurant Weeks returns with summer bargains

    The annual dining deals for Providence Restaurant Weeks start on July 7 and run through July 20. You can visit the website at goprovidence.com and make your plans.

    There are fixed-price deals with three courses for one price, as is most traditional for Restaurant Weeks. But you can find other deals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    More than 60 restaurants have signed up so far. There are restaurants participating whose names we haven't seen before, or for a while.

    New restaurant Fleur, at the Providence Omni Hotel, has a lunch or late-night menu with three beef sliders, fries and wine for $18. For dinner, their deal is three courses for $35.

    Kin Southern Table & Bar, at 71 Washington St. in Providence, has a three-course, fixed-price dinner deal as well as a lunch special, which is five Crispy Wings with a side and cornbread for $13.

    Mona Lisa Restaurant, at 145 Spruce St. in Providence, offers 20% off the check for dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

    Murphy's, the restaurant and bar at 100 Fountain St. in Providence, is offering a three-course fixed-price dinner for $35 between 5 and 10 p.m. with main course choices of Lobster Roll, Seafood Platter with Stuffie, Fish & Chips and Fried Shrimp or Chicken Parmesan over Penne.

    Both Rosalina, 50 Aborn St., in Providence, and Viva Mexico at 129 Washington St. in Providence, will have three-course fixed-price dinner specials, but neither menu is posted yet.

    Blake’s Tavern, the Providence restaurant at 122 Washington St. that's famous for its Knucklehead's Famous Chili, is participating, as is Ladder 133 Kitchen, the Providence sports bar at 133 Douglas Ave. Neither has shared deals yet.

    Angelo's Civita Farnese, 141 Atwells Ave., on Federal Hill has themed its Restaurant Weeks specials with its 100th anniversary. The deals start on July 10 and include a $1 price tag for half orders of Pastine soup or Spaghetti, a mini cannoli or ice cream roll or a Paesano soda cocktail. Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti will be a $10 special.

    Here are three other sample deals offered in Providence.

    Casa Azul Taqueria, 890 Allens Ave., Providence, has summer specials, including two Fish Tacos for $16.99 that come with beans, rice and salsa. Also, you'll find Shrimp a la Diablo, a paella-style dish, for $18.99 and a Vegan Birria Burrito for $14.99.

    Moonshine Alley, 52 Pine St., Providence, has a three-course, fixed-price meal for $28.95, including choices of Hush Puppies, Alabama White Ribs, Broadway Brisket or Moonshine Chicken or Shrimp.

    Capriccio, 2 Pine St., Providence, has a three-course fixed-price dinner for $48.95 that includes many choices. Their signature first courses of Escargot or Kobe Carpaccio are included, as are entrees of Day Boat Scallops, Scampi Cardinale, Berkshire Pork Chop and Filet Mignon. Desserts include Tiramisu and Creme Brulee.
