2 stabbed at Providence apartment complex

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence police are investigating after two men reportedly stabbed each other at an apartment building early Monday morning.

According to the police report obtained by 12 News, officers were called to the 91 Lofts on Hartford Avenue around 2 a.m. and found two stabbing victims, identified as 27-year-old Jose A. Ledee and 33-year-old Cesar I. Cabrera.

Witnesses told police the two men had gotten into a fight inside the elevator.

Ledee and Cabrera were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Police said they’re being detained there while getting treatment for their injuries, which are not life-threatening.

Detectives are now working to figure out what happened and determine which charges should be filed.
