I don't know the law specifically applied to filming in a bank. I do know if one films in an open public setting, it is legal to do so.Personally, if I were conducting my banking business, I would be quite uncomfortable seeing someone filming me. I would stop my transactions and speak to the bank manager. I recommend that filming policies be posted stating no filming. Again, posting should only reflect existing laws, not arbitrarily at management discretion.I must ask why anyone would want to film inside of a bank? Was this person doing a documentary? Was this bank to be included in a TV, movie, or training course? If the answer is no, then what was his motivation, and why did he not think he would be questioned? Did he have an account with the bank? Again, I do not know the specifics as it relates to financial institutions.lastly, as a simple courtesy, before he started filming, he should have told the bank manager what he intended to do.
