I've read several articles from the era about this man and the lynching. Yes it was very wrong. But he was not a good person wronged by the white community. It was pretty well documented by black and white folks from that time that he was not a nice guy. He did take an axe to a woman store owners head for not giving him money. I won't be attending this one.
