(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Chefs from across Pueblo will come together on Saturday, July 20, for a cooking competition featuring all electric kitchens at Food and Iron Food Hall.

Electric Avenue’s “Pueblo Plate-Up” cooking competition will pit top chefs from Union Pizza Co., The Hungry Buffalo, Diavolo Hot Chicken, The Cutting Board, Steel Crescent Kitchen, and Trailglazers against each other. Their creations will be cooked utilizing the latest electric kitchen technology as well as ingredients from local farms and producers.

Alongside the cooking main event will be an Electrification Expo with e-vehicles and e-bikes, interactive displays from local utilities, tech companies, government offices and green energy businesses.

Organizers said the unique event will blend the excitement of a live cooking competition with a look at the future of sustainable baking and cooking. The Pueblo Plate-Up is a free opportunity to see innovative cooking methods in action and learn why moving towards electric kitchens is not just a trend, but a smarter, safer way to cook—and to taste the chefs’ delicious creations.

The event takes place on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Fuel and Iron Food Hall, 400 South Union Avenue in Pueblo.
