MoxiWorks names software entrepreneur as CEO
Seattle-based real estate tech company MoxiWorks on Monday named Eric Elfman as its new CEO.<\p> Elfman is replacing York Baur, who founded the company in 2012 and led it as CEO for almost 12 years, according to his LinkedIn page. Baur will remain on MoxiWorks' board and help with strategy.<\p>
Gaming exec puts treehouse-style Shoreline home up for sale (Photos)
A former Snapchat and Unity executive recently listed his treehouse-style passion project in Shoreline for $3.36 million.<\p> Elliot Solomon — a business developer who focuses on the artificial intelligence, gaming and online platform industries — bought the home in 2016 while working at San Francisco-based Unity Software Inc.’s (NYSE: U) Bellevue office. <\p>
Seattle's most eclectic restaurateur preps his latest project
Marcus Lalario never planned to be a restaurateur.<\p> The Seattle-area native got his start in the music industry at age 14 at Easy Street Records. By age 19, he had opened The Beat Box, an all-ages nightclub on Capitol Hill that later became The War Room. Over the next 20-plus years, he led ventures from clubs to music to food and fashion.<\p>
Construction begins on MultiCare emergency room in Bremerton
MultiCare Health System is expanding its footprint in Kitsap County with a 10,500-square-foot stand-alone emergency department in Bremerton.<\p> The Tacoma-based health care provider held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project on Thursday. It acquired the undeveloped 2.4-acre site at Highway 303 and Northeast Fuson Road for $1.8 million in September 2022.<\p>
Acumatica HQ returns to Bellevue after landing a larger space
Acumatica, a business software company, this week moved its headquarters to a new permanent space Bellevue after two and a half years in Kirkland.<\p> Its over 12,000-square-foot space in Bellevue's Corporate Campus East is at least 50% larger than the office it occupied at Kirkland's Yarrow Bay Plaza office campus, which it moved to in mid-2021.<\p>
Mentoring software company Chronus acquires Seattle competitor
Seattle-based mentoring software Chronus has acquired competitor Imperative, also based in Seattle.<\p> The companies didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal, which Chronus announced Wednesday. <\p>

A Philadelphia-based industrial real estate investor has acquired a storage site near Paine Field, the company announced Tuesday.<\p> Alterra IOS, the outdoor storage arm of Alterra Property Group, acquired a former Schwan’s distribution facility at 7807 44th Ave. W. in Mulkiteo for $3.1 million. The sale date was March 28, Snohomish County records show.<\p>

Swift demolition of derelict buildings on the horizon in Seattle
Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell is scheduled to sign a bill Thursday that, according to a city press release, will allow the Seattle Fire Department to "swiftly order the demolition or remediation of unsafe vacant buildings that pose risks to public safety." <\p> The City Council unanimously passed legislation Tuesday. The bill was co-sponsored by Bob Kettle and Tammy J. Morales.<\p>
Redfin draws down remaining $125M of loan from private equity firm
Seattle-based real estate tech company Redfin Corp. (Nasdaq: RDFN) has drawn down the remaining $125 million of a loan from private equity firm Apollo Capital Management.<\p> Redfin disclosed the move in a Monday regulatory filing, saying it could use the money to repurchase convertible notes, pay fees or general corporate purposes, among other uses. The company didn't immediately respond to a request for more details.<\p>
Construction start eyed for 8-story apartment building in Bellevue
Construction of a mixed-use 391-unit apartment building in Bellevue's Eastgate area is expected to start in six to nine months, the developer said Tuesday.<\p> The Bellevue Development Services Department on Friday approved Trammell Crow Residential's eight-story project, Alexan Eastgate, which includes 2,000 square feet of retail and partially below-grade parking with 343 stalls.<\p>

Kelly Kinnison was named CEO of the King County Regional Homelessness Authority on Monday.<\p> It's a job not many people seem to want. Kinnison was the last finalist after two other applicants withdrew.<\p>
