Flexe lays off 'small handful of employees' weeks after $119M round
Seattle-based logistics company Flexe has laid off a small number of employees, the company confirmed to the Business Journal on Wednesday. According to a company spokesperson, Flexe made adjustments to its hiring plan and was slightly overstaffed, resulting in layoffs "to a small handful of employees on the recruiting team." The move comes just weeks after Flexe raised a $119 million Series D round and reached a value of more than $1 billion earlier this month.

Bellevue startup Gordian to ramp up hiring after raising $25M
Bellevue-based travel agency software startup Gordian Software has raised a $25 million Series A round. The round, announced Wednesday, will help the company add new features and expand into other segments, according to a release, and the company is looking to triple its headcount by the end of the year. On its LinkedIn page, Gordian says it has more than 30 employees.

Mental health startup Guide Care raises $5.3M, filing shows
Seattle-based mental health startup Guide Care has raised $5.3 million in equity funding, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The raise was filed Tuesday and shows the company incorporated this year, and lists a mailing address at a downtown Seattle post office. On Guide Care's LinkedIn page, the company says it is "combatting the adolescent mental health crisis," but no website was listed.
