    Sheriff’s Office accredited

Last month, the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation Inc. (CFA) awarded Sheriff Bill Prummell with initial accreditation in their Core Competencies Standards. This program is available to agencies currently accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), through its Advanced Law Enforcement Program.

The accreditation process is an outstanding management tool for the Sheriff ’s Office and provides value-based services through accountability and transparency to the community it serves.

“It is always an honor to accept the certificates of accreditation as the agency earns them, and what that represents to the community is not something we take lightly,” Prummell said. “I want to express my appreciation for the Professional Compliance team and my entire staff for their diligence to make sure that we operate at the highest standards in what we do.” ¦
