    Man sentenced for selling ghost guns in West Virginia

    CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man has been sentenced for selling ghost guns in West Virginia.

    According to U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld, Brandon Michael Reckert, 30, from Purcellville, Virginia, has been sentenced to 70 months in prison for possessing and selling ghost guns, privately manufactured and unregistered firearms.

    Court documents reveal that Reckert advertised and sold these firearms on social media.

    A search of his home and vehicle uncovered multiple firearms, firearm parts, ammunition, and tools used in manufacturing ghost guns.

    In addition to his prison sentence, Reckert must forfeit dozens of firearms, firearm parts, rounds of ammunition, and tools.

    Following his release, he will serve three years of supervised release.

    This sentencing was announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
