Simone Biles's Baby Sister Shares Rare Childhood Pic & Sweet Tribute

After competing at this year's Paris Olympics , Simone Biles (27) cemented her legacy as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time . And now, her baby sister , Adria, is giving the star athlete her flowers.

On Instagram earlier this week, Adria (25) shared a rare childhood photo of herself and Simone and included a thoughtful caption. She wrote, "The little girl in me would look for you in every single room she walks into. You have made me into the person I am today and I will forever look up to you. I love you, sister."

In the pic, both sisters are sporting beaded necklaces as they sit together on a bench. Simone looks right at the camera with a huge smile while Adria, who appears to be eating a snack, looks at her big sister.

Simone responded in the comments with three pink hearts, and several fans were touched by the heartfelt message. One follower wrote, "As an older sister with a younger sister, I am tearing up at this caption." Another said, "The best compliment a sister can give to her sister."

As it turns out, the pair have maintained a tigh-knit relationship since childhood—and Adria has always been vocal about Simone's positive influence.

In an essay for ESPN , Adria wrote, "My sister has always been fearless. When we were little kids, we'd stand on a railing on the second floor of our house, then jump off onto the couch down below on the first floor. She'd go first, and I'd follow. We were both gymnasts, so we were always trying things around the house. Nothing scared her."

She continued, "There were hard days in the gym leading up to the Rio Olympics. Sometimes she'd get so frustrated with herself, and there were days when she'd cry because it was so hard. It wasn't easy at all. That didn't stop her, though, and she never gave up. That's something I'll always remember."

Additionally, in her docuseries, Simone vs. Herself , Simone revealed that she has always been protective of her younger sibling. She explained, "I wanted to take care of Adria obviously, because she was the baby. I just felt like I needed to look out for her, because if family doesn’t look out for you, who’s going to?"
