I know what you're thinking. "What's with all the attention surrounding Prince William 's facial hair?" From the headlines calling out his unshaven look to the countless tweets from royal fans raving about his scruffy glow-up , it's safe to say the prince's beard is having a moment.

Quite frankly, as someone who's secretly hoping he'll keep the razor at bay for a bit longer, I kind of get it. After all, it's extremely rare to see the Prince of Wales step out without a clean-shaven face. So, when I saw the 42-year-old royal return to work this week with his beard still intact, I'll admit, a small part of me wanted to celebrate.

In case you missed it, the prince recently paid a visit to Swiss Valley Community Primary School in Llanelli, Wales, which marks his first public engagement since the Princess of Wales announced the end of her chemotherapy treatment .

The royal turned up in his signature blue suit, but of course, what stole most people's attention (mine included) was the salt-and-pepper beard.

The Prince of Wales's new look first made headlines in August , when he made a joint virtual appearance with his wife, Kate Middleton. Then, the prince (and his beard) returned to work in London on September 5, following a short break with Middleton and their three kids, Prince George , 11, Princess Charlotte , 9, and Prince Louis , 6. And now, just a few days later, fans are delighted to see that his beard is still in place.

One fan wrote on Twitter, "I hope Prince William chooses to keep the well-trimmed but scruffy beard. It looks good on him!"

During his visit to Llanelli, Wales, he met with a few students who participated in the 2024 Urdd Eisteddfod—a festival that celebrates Welsh culture—and enjoyed a showcase of the school's entries.

On Instagram, the prince shared a few highlights from his visit and wrote, "Thanks to the brilliant pupils of Swiss Valley Community Primary School, lovely to see you all."

In addition, the prince paid a visit to Parc y Scarlets, the home of the Scarlets Rugby Union team.

Here's hoping Prince William's beard doesn't go anywhere anytime soon.

William stop copying your brother. The beard look awful and the PDA look like your trying to be like Harry and Megan. Everybody know about your mistress. Like father like son.
