Prince Harry Isn't the Only Member of the Royal Fam in NYC This Week

To say this week in New York has been busier than usual wouldn't be an understatement, even though, as this Big Apple-based editor can tell you, something's always happening in the city that never sleeps. However, things have been particularly chaotic thanks to the annual U.N. General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week convention, which draws luminaries, dignitaries and sustainability experts from all over the world. This year, Prince Harry touched down for a slew of appearances, including those supporting African Parks, The HALO Trust, The Diana Award and Travalyst, in addition to The Archewell Foundation, which he co-runs with his wife, Meghan Markle .

However, he's not the only British royal family member making his rounds in Manhattan. His cousin, Princess Beatrice , and aunt, Sarah Ferguson , are also in New York for Climate Week.

It's no surprise, given that in the past, the Duchess of York has gone on the record in The Telegraph writing about why the issue of climate change is so important to her.

"As I embark on a new phase of life as a grandmother to August, Sienna and Wolfie, my love for nature is translating into a sense of urgency about climate change and the environment," she writes. "I feel strongly that my generation has a responsibility to hand a sustainable planet on to our grandchildren." Fergie is currently an ambassador for the Perfect World Foundation, which promotes animal and nature preservation and conservation.

"We're living in a climate emergency and I am determined to use whatever voice I have to try to speak up for our planet," she adds. While in town, the duchess shared videos of herself giving talks, attending round tables and the official launch of the Youth Impact Council and, humorously, sampling a New York hot dog. (Do as the tourists do.)

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice had her own jam-packed itinerary, attending Climate Week on behalf of the charity founded by her sister, Princess Eugenie. The Anti-Slavery Collective co-hosted a luncheon with the Global Commission on Modern Slavery and the Human Thread Foundation . In the Instagram post shared by TASC, Princes Beatrice is shown giving a talk on modern slavery and how that will be affected by the need for emissions to reach net zero.

"We believe that thinking about and debating complicated, knotty issues is a vital part of the process," TASC writes in the caption. "Gathering with decision-makers from all walks of life and creating judgement-free space to share ideas, offer different perspectives, and tell stories helps us to reconnect with why this work is so important."

Hopefully, they were able to squeeze in a family reunion amid all those engagements.

I love the Royals with the exception of Harry and Meghan. Harry should loose all rights to succession as well as titles of Duke and for M, Duchess. Neither deserve titles other than sadly Harry will always be a Prince.
