Though Taylor Swift has been absent from two back-to-back Chiefs away games, causing rumors to fly about her relationship with Travis Kelce , she graced Arrowhead Stadium with her presence last night for her boyfriend's most recent game. The Eras Tour singer wore a stunning gray and red plaid two-piece kilt and top from Vivienne Westwood, a pair of chunky black boots that just barely hit the knee, a tapestry-style fabric bag with a silver chain, glitter freckles and her signature red lip. And according to Cosmopolitan , Travis matched Taylor by also donning the print and wore a long sleeve dark gray plaid shirt, khaki shorts, white ankle socks, black sneakers and a pair of futuristic chunky shades.
It's no secret that Taylor's been loving plaid as of late. See Exhibit A : She's repeatedly reaching for the bold print at Chiefs games, for outings in NYC and more. Exhibit B : The yellow and black plaid dress worn to the 2024 VMAs. Seeing her in a coordinated set this week was just the cherry on top of the plaid sundae.
If you're just as excited about plaid making a comeback as I am, I found four lookalikes to shop for your autumnal pleasure.
This slinky, brown Kimchi Blue number from Urban Outfitters perfectly captures the sexy, yet coy style that Taylor's been rocking this season. The set features a tailored button-front vest with a split, flyaway cropped hem as well as a low waisted a-line pleated skirt with faux pocket detailing outlined in red thread. Plus, it comes in a second blue/green colorway.
Though this dress has a different and much longer silhouette than Taylor's version, the type of gray and red plaid used is quite similar to the Vivienne Westwood set she wore. This look gives the ensemble a slightly grungy, yet sophisticated feel. With a high jewel neckline, side slits and no sleeves, it's the perfect 'fit to take from day to night. It's also got a removable sash for some extra detailing.
City Chic's Miss Molly Sleeveless Plaid Minidress is reminiscent of the yellow and black Dior bustier top (that cascaded into an overskirt) that Tay wore to the 2024 VMAs. This rendition is a bit more of a traditional take on plaid with a v-neck and pleats, but also has adjustable buckle straps for some grungy flair.
And for a slightly different take on the plaid skirt set, I saw this taupe check strapless top and capri set from Reformation's collab with Kacey Musgraves. I'm loving the versatility of this outfit. It can be dressed up with heels and a trench coat for fall or worn on its own with some socks and sandals for a transitional spring to summer look.
