There’s been no shortage of Taylor Swift chatter this year—the A-lister has been making a lot more public appearances since she began dating NFL star Travis Kelce —but while I’m not quite so invested in analyzing her body language to determine the intimate details of her relationship , I am very much interested in cataloging her outfits of late. Having joined the ranks of celebrité more than a decade ago, Swift has grown and evolved a great deal, all in front of a (mostly) adoring public. There’s a reason she named her latest tour Eras , people. But one thing that has remained pretty consistent is her sense of style.

The gal loves an A-line mini skirt just as much now, at the age of 34, as she did back in her early twenties, and I feel you can almost always count on her to embrace a more low-key relatable style than other top-tier musicians. Swift may not be a Rihanna-level fashion icon —it’s hard to imagine her ever showing up to sit front row at Paris Fashion Week rocking at sheer black teddy and leather trench coat—but she definitely has a strong sense of style all her very own. In honor of that, here’s my list of six of the best things Taylor Swift has worn all year (so far) to add to your own celeb-inspired Pinterest board.

Taylor Swift Just Wore the Chicest Plaid Coat Out in NYC—We Found the *Exact* Style (Plus 4 Affordable Lookalikes)

    1. Red Gingham Mini Dress

This Reformation mini, which the singer wore attending the 2024 US Open in New York , is so quintessentially Swift, it feels like a natural evolution of her style. The skirt is a little less flared than the A-lines she loved so much back in 2012 and the top definitely feels sexier, but this is really a tried-and-true Taylor dress I could picture her wearing during any one of her various eras.

    2. All-Black Glam

Throwing it back to the beginning of the year, Swift chose a Dion Lee corset top and Area jeans with rhinestone embellishment to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LVIII . This ensemble has a lot more edge than I’m used to seeing from Swift, but still feels like something her fans could copy without too much trouble. It’s an ideal mix of sexy, glam and casual, the exact vibes I strive for any time I dress to hit the town with friends.

    3. Green Velvet and Thigh-High Boots

Yes, her Little Lies velvet mini and thigh-high boots are a little bit Alexis , but this is yet another classic Swift combo she wears so well. For a dinner date with BFF Blake Lively , Taylor opted for green crushed-velvet, which many fans saw as a nod to her Reputation album, but I think was more likely just a super smart and chic alternative to classic black velvet. This ‘fit is a fabulous reminder that, just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean you can’t still embrace bright colors.

    4. Photographic Prints

I low-key adore this matching set Swift wore for a post-VMAs outing in NYC in early September and feel it never got the hype it really deserved. The custom Monse trio—bomber jacket, corset top, miniskirt—featured a photographic forest print that was such a fun nod to “Out of the Woods.” And to pair it with a simple-yet-bold pair of platform Vivienne Westwood boots was so cool.

    5. Sleek LBD

Another ‘fit that didn’t get enough attention? This chic long-sleeve LBD the singer wore for dinner at Nobu in January. It’s so elegant, but still has that signature A-line miniskirt silhouette our gal Swift adores so much. And the addition of a minimalist gold chain belt and coordinating necklace stack adds just the right amount of ‘70s glamour, especially when you add in a pair of platform booties. (Also, I just need to take a second to point out that her bangs were looking extra fabulous this evening.)

    6. Plaid Two-Piece

Taylor Swift is proof that you can have a signature style and not look boring. We already know she loves a miniskirt and a corset and plaid and platform boots, so this Vivienne Westwood ensemble (featuring the very same boots from her post-VMAs look above) should not feel surprising. But it is delightful and is more fashion-forward than the 34-year-old star typically dresses, especially for football games with her BF’s family and friends. And the glittery faux-freckles on her cheeks ? Chef’s kiss! A perfect finishing touch to really lean into the camp and fun of this designer set.
