Albany man gets 25 years in prison in fatal shooting. An Albany man was sentenced on Thursday to 25 years in prison for a fatal shooting last November. Dario Lewis, 32, had pleaded guilty in May to first-degree manslaughter for shooting Elijah Thompson in the chest. The shooting happened in the area of Judson Street and First Street on Nov. 11 around 3 a.m. Thompson died at Albany Medical Center.
