Cadet 2nd Lt. John Collins McDaniel of Fayetteville graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., on May 25. The son of James and Cecile McDaniel, he concentrated his studies in engineering psychology while at the academy. At graduation, the cadet was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
