4 must watch games from Week 4 in the NFL
So many questions can get answered this week. Week 4 is really a case of the haves and have nots. Make no mistake, every game is important, but we have a handful of absolute garbage contests — and then some of the best games imaginable. There’s very little middle ground, and that makes it pretty easy to decide what to watch this week outside of your favorite team.
3 Reasons You Should Remain Calm Despite Stocks’ Terrible Month
September was a bad month for the stock market. The S&P 500, Nasdaq and Dow indexes — three indexes that are used as benchmarks to measure the overall stock market — all had their worst month of the year in September. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq experienced their largest monthly drops since March 2020 when COVID-19 hit the U.S. and stocks crashed. The S&P 500 fell 4.8% in September, the Nasdaq fell 5.3%, and the Dow was down 4.3%.

3 of the best UK shares to buy now
With several companies set to release updates, I expect a lot of significant market movements in either direction in October. This also comes at a time when the fear of a market collapse is causing a fall in global indices. Rather than panic-sell, I see this as an excellent time to invest in some shares at cheap prices. Here are three UK shares to buy now that I think could see sustained growth in the coming months despite the turbulence.
Has the JD Wetherspoon (JDW) share price hit rock bottom?
There’s one thing that makes me suspect a stock’s decline might be over. It’s when a company reveals its biggest ever loss, and the price rises. That’s what happened to JD Wetherspoon (LSE: JDW) Friday, as it revealed a loss of £155m in the year ended 25 July. The share price? It gained 2.5% by early afternoon.
Where will the Rolls-Royce share price go in Q4 2021?
The Rolls-Royce (LSE: RR) share price enjoyed a strong run in the second half of September. It closed yesterday at 140p, up 33% from a mid-month low of 105p. As we enter the fourth quarter of the year, I’ll discuss the reasons behind the strong recent performance, what might influence the direction of the share price in the coming months, and whether I’d buy the stock today.
Fuel crisis is driving the UK recovery off the road
The fuel crisis continues to hit the headlines. Long queues at petrol stations and regular reports of supply chain issues have dominated the news for the past week. But what impact could the crisis have going forwards?. According to Andrew Bailey, the governor of the Bank of England, it means...
El Salvador Is Betting on Bitcoin to Rebrand the Country — and Strengthen the President’s Grip
When Roman Martinez was growing up in El Zonte, a small coastal village in El Salvador, the American Dream loomed large. Beyond the local fishing industry, which Martinez’s parents worked in, there weren’t a lot of opportunities. “Young people just wanted to leave, to go to the U.S.,” he says. “But now we have a Salvadoran dream.”

Merck’s COVID-19 Antiviral Drug Cuts Hospitalizations and Deaths by Half
Vaccines will be the way out of the pandemic, but not everyone around the world is immunized yet, and the shots aren’t 100% effective in protecting people from getting infected with the COVID-19 virus. So antiviral drug treatments will be key to making sure that people who do get infected don’t get severely ill.
Nobel Medicine Prize for COVID-19 vaccine?
Scientists behind COVID-19 vaccines could be in the running to win the Nobel Prize for Medicine even though the pandemic is far from over. Some scientists say it is just a matter of time: If the work that went into developing the vaccines is not recognised when this year’s prize is announced on Monday, it will win the award in years to come.
Nobel Peace Prize: Is this Greta Thunberg’s year?
The Nobel Peace Prize will be announced just three weeks before world leaders gather for a climate summit that scientists say could determine the future of the planet, one reason why prize watchers say this could be the year of Greta Thunberg.
