The ex-mayor of a small Italian town was slapped with a 13-year sentence for various irregularities in his handling of migrants. During his time in office, he received international praise for his efforts to integrate migrants. Domenico Lucano, the former mayor of the town of Riace, located in Italy’s southern...
Why I think the Deliveroo share price dip is a buying opportunity
Spending a weekday evening in with a streaming show and takeaway order can be a great thing to do on occasion. But even better than that is getting a deal in the process. I experienced this first-hand yesterday when ordering in from Deliveroo (LSE: ROO). A couple of weeks ago, it tied up with Amazon to provide free food delivery for Amazon Prime members.
Will the Ceres Power share price recover in Q4?
Shares in Ceres Power (LSE: CWR) have almost doubled in the past year, growing 97%. But the Ceres Power share price has been sliding from its February peak, losing 30% since then. Could the fourth quarter of the year provide a boost? Below I explain why I am sceptical it...
Investing at 60: how I’ll handle shares in my financial autumn
A colleague raised an interesting question recently: how should we invest when our long term isn’t as extensive as it once was?. I had to chuckle because investing for the “long term” is sometimes used as a way to try to mitigate the damage from investments that go wrong in the short term! And if we are in the autumn of our years, that option can lose some of its power.
Morrisons share price: this weekend could be the endgame!
Shareholders in Wm Morrison Supermarkets (LSE: MRW) have had a sparkling 2021 so far. And, as far as the Morrisons share price is concerned, this coming weekend could be the icing on this already ample cake. The shares have almost doubled since last October. What’s more, their final push should come on Saturday, when the London stock market will be closed.

After steep falls, I’d buy these 2 cheap shares today
Something very big is happening in the world of mining right now. And this shake-up has dragged down UK mining stocks, possibly pushing some already-cheap shares into bargain territory. The big news is that the price of iron ore has collapsed in recent months. In May, the price of the steel-making ingredient hit a record $233 a tonne. On Monday, it collapsed to $94 a tonne and currently hovers around $107. In other words, the price has crashed by more than half (-54.1%) in just four months. Here are two cheap shares that I don’t own, but I would buy today after their recent steep falls.
Brodie Lee’s wrestling legacy is not being forgotten in AEW
This is the best thing in wrestling all year, bar none. Professional wrestling in 2021 has had some of the most monumental shifts in the history of the business, and as fun as that’s been to watch and experience as a fan, that’s not what will be left with me for years to come. This was also the year where we fully felt the loss of Jon Huber, better known by his in-ring name ‘Brodie Lee,’ a monster of a man, with a heart of gold, who tragically died shortly after Christmas due to a non-Covid lung condition.
Why Can’t I Get A COVID-19 Booster Shot If I’ve Been Vaccinated With Moderna or J&J?
There’s been quite a bit of news about COVID-19 booster shots lately, and it’s been more confusing than reassuring. Public health officials don’t agree on whether everyone needs a booster yet, and in the same way that the vaccines were rolled out to different groups of people one category at a time as government agencies reviewed studies to make sure they were safe and effective, boosters are being doled out to certain people first. Here’s where we stand for now.
Latin Remix of the Week: David Guetta Gives Farruko’s ‘Pepas’ His Stamp of Approval
Farruko continues to dominate the clubs with his summer anthem “Pepas,” which now has an official remix by renowned DJ David Guetta. The remix comes three months after Farruko released his solo banger, which scored him his first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart-dated Aug. 28. The song also reached No. 1 on the Hot Dance/ Electronic Songs, Latin Airplay, and Latin Streaming Songs charts.
Cher, Bette Midler & More Celebrate Ruling Suspending Britney Spears’ Dad as Conservator
Britney Spears wasn’t the only one flying high on the news Wednesday (Sept. 29) that her estranged dad, Jamie Spears, had been suspended as the conservator of her estate. The singer, who has been battling to be free of her father’s control for years, posted an Instagram video in which she was flying on a plane with the message that she was on “cloud 9” after the good news. She was joined in her elation by a number of stars who shared in her joy.
Will this latest news give the Lloyds Share price a boost?
Lloyds Banking Group (LSE: LLOY) was starting to disappoint investors again, falling back below 42p just a few weeks ago. But since since a recent low in early September, the Lloyds share price has now gained 12%. We’re still only looking at a price of around 46.5p and a two-year fall of 10%, so not a screaming success yet.
Can the Diageo share price hit 4,000p?
The Diageo (LSE: DGE) share price has rebounded strongly since the stock market crash last year, hitting 3,600p recently. This has been due to a recovery in sales, a couple of shrewd acquisitions, and growing shareholder returns. With today’s promising trading update, which has caused the Diageo share price to rise another 2%, will it be able to reach 4,000p?
3 UK growth stocks I’m watching in October
October looks like being a packed month for updates from London-listed companies. This afternoon, I’m taking a look at the small-cap end of the market and three UK growth stocks in particular. Can their recent positive momentum continue?. Hotel Chocolat. High street and online retailer Hotel Chocolat (LSE: HOTC) should...

Where will the Rolls-Royce share price go in October?
It’s been a promising few months for Rolls-Royce (LSE: RR) after a challenging period. While the company is not out of the woods yet, the improving Rolls-Royce share price reflects growing confidence among investors that the aerospace giant is moving in the right direction. Here’s what I think could happen...

It’s the first time the 30-year rate has been above 3% since June 24 and the biggest rate increase since the middle of January. Rates had been hovering between 2.86% and 2.88% since mid-August.

Longest Leading No. 1s Ever on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay Chart
The Regional Mexican scene is just as dominant and on fire, as the Latin rhythmic scene — especially with the rise of artists such as Grupo Firme, Los Dos Carnales, and Eslabon Armado, to name a few. But before the new generation, a group of Mexican artists and groups were...
