Quad City Botanical Center Hosting Plant Discovery Ribbon Cutting Event
The Quad City Botanical Center is hosting its Plant Discovery Bus ribbon cutting event on Thursday, June 13 at 2PM. Join us as we celebrate the official unveiling of this one-of-a-kind mobile classroom, two years in the making. The Plant Discovery Bus is a new educational tool that will mimic the same experience learners receive when they visit the gardens. The bus will allow the gardens to reach more learners by taking programming directly to schools and offsite opportunities, having a positive impact on the way we deliver our mission and the number of students impacted each year.

Rock Island Holding Summer Sports Camps For Students
July 29 – August 1 4pm -6pm Rock Island High School Stadium. Campers will learn the basics of all positions and receive instruction in several areas of the game, including, strength, agility, speed, offensive drill work, defensive drill work, and special teams drill work. Students enrolled in K-8th grade are encouraged to attend. This camp will group participants based on age, size, and ability and will aim to improve participants not only as athletes but as people.
