Wilmington Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Traffic Stop in Dewey Beach
DEWEY BEACH, DE - A Wilmington man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in Sussex County. On Friday, July 19th, at approximately 11:30pm, Dewey Beach Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop on a blue 2020 Hyundai Sonata with a New York registration. Officers stopped the vehicle after they observed it cross over the solid "white fog line" on the right side of Coastal Highway. Dewey Police also say that the driver was improperly wearing his seat belt.

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE– Sussex County fire crews collaborated on the water rescue of a kayaker Friday in the Rehoboth Bay following an extensive search. Dispatch received reports shortly after noon on July 19 of a 40-year-old kayaker who could not be found. Officials say he had last been seen in the area of Savage Ditch and Massey’s ditch.

Sewage Spills into Bay Street Ponds in Easton
EASTON, MD. - People are being asked to take caution near several waterways in Easton after a sewage spill. The Easton Utilities Commission says about 6,000 gallons of untreated wastewater overflowed into the ponds on Bay Street. They say the spill was contained within the ponds and a majority of the ponds' contents were pumped out.
First responders rescue Delaware woman after boat flips over while family goes crabbing
A family from Delaware is thanking first responders for their quick action in saving a woman's life on Saturday.The family had reportedly been crabbing just south of Augustine Beach when their crab lines tangled with the propellers.The winds shifted, the tide began to come in, and the boat started taking on water, the family said.It was too quick for Donna Wallace, who found herself trapped after the family's boat flipped over.She says she was stuck for about 40 minutes."I was underwater, there was a pocket of air inside the cabin, so I remained calm," Wallace told Action News. "You know it's survival, you know, you have to do what you gotta do."Wallace said thankfully, she could hear her husband talking, so she knew help was coming.Rescue teams used a chainsaw to cut the boat and free Wallace, authorities say.Everyone was OK after the incident.
