CMS buildings will be closed Thursday due to expected inclement weather from Debby

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools facilities will be closed Thursday, due to the weather impact of Tropical Storm Debby.

In a social media post, CMS requests that all staff members check their email for specific communication about school-closing guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact your immediate supervisor.

The district’s first day for the majority of students isn’t until Aug. 26. However, CMS early and middle colleges will move to asynchronous learning for the day. There will be no extracurricular activities or sports.
